Tri Flow is a great lubricant to have in your tool kit. Not as thick as grease and doesn't dry out nor attract grease as much as WD-40.
We use this for a myriad of different uses in our shop. It can be used on bolts before tightening to help prevent stripping of threads. It can be used in sealed bearings as lubricant. We have also let stuck bolts soak overnight to help break them loose.
